How to use inbox types
1 . Start by going to gmail.com and sign into your @tcd email account
2 . Click on the Settings icon, found in the top right corner of the Gmail homepage. You should see a side panel appear on the right of the screen.
3 . Scroll down in the side panel until you see "Inbox type".
Here you can choose from the options to prioritise the emails you want to see at the top of your inbox.
You will see your inbox change with each option you select. You can change your inbox type at any time if you do not like your choice.
*Top Tip: Unread first is a popular choice if you have read most emails in your account.
The "Priority inbox" type allows up to 4 sections in your inbox. You will see the option to "Customise", this allows you to choose how you want to use the options available.
